Physiotherapy consultation
A physiotherapy consultation is a meeting between a patient and a physiotherapist held for the purpose of receiving advice or starting rehabilitation.
In the course of the consultation, the following are verified:
- symptoms present in the patient, as well as potential causes of the patient’s condition,
- indications and contraindications for undertaking physical treatments, exercises or therapies
- possible, optimal adjustment of treatments to the current state of health
- Procedures (treatments, exercises) suggested by the doctor (after a prior visit), especially if some time has passed since the visit or there have been other/additional health problems previously not reported to the doctor
- recommendation for further diagnostics: x-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound and other tests, as well as a visit to a specialist
For a broader examination (diagnostic tests, functional tests, differential tests) to clarify descriptions and/or imaging studies (such as X-rays, CT or MRI), a physiotherapeutic diagnosis is indicated.
