Kinesiotaping

It is a method of physiotherapy which consists of sticking tape strips on the patient’s body in a specialized way, in order to support the healing process of the body. Tapes are made of hypoallergenic, air-permeable material, so they are not allergenic. The principle of kinesiotaping is to elevate the dermis relative to the fascia, which increases the space between the skin and muscles. Correct application of an elastic patch reduces pain, aids the execution of movement and accelerates the absorption of swelling, while the application of inflexible patches is used to limit mobility and protect and relieve the injured area.

Taping is therefore widely used both in sports medicine, rehabilitation, pain therapy and post-operatively. The Kinesiotaping method is effective in many acute and chronic conditions and ailments.
